I've always enjoyed D&D and have played a lot of 3.5. I loved the large amount of rules the edition had to offer. That being said I also thoroughly enjoy the looser, more interpretive style of play offered by old editions and D&D Next(5e). As an avid role player I enjoy theatre of mind style game play, although tactical combat, I find, of course, to beasier to follow and still quite enjoyable. Character is more important that min/maxing stats and I try to stick to a characters strengths and weaknesses, however it is very tempting to solve puzzles and be charismatic even when the character is an ugly fool.
