Community annoucement: Saturday Dungeon

As parts of efforts to increase activity and player count on the site, we are excited to announce a new community led project 'Saturday Dungeon'

Saturday Dungeon is a selection of easy to pick and play core Fabletop games that will be hosted on an alternating basis to ensure there is always a game every Saturday at the same time. This will be at 6:30pm BST (1:30pm EST. 11pm IST) - this time has been chosen as it is evening for Europeans, mid day for Americans and not so late that players in Asia can't stay up if they wish to.

Hopefully we can get a good number of players for these sessions - my hope is that this snowballs, allowing players to meet and organise other games. If player numbers are high enough there could even be multiple Saturday games running simultaneously. It also makes Fabletop easier to advertise through word of mouth, as there will be gaurenteed regularly scheduled games.

Tarasrex, Leeza and myself will be working together to achieve the goal of there always being a game in this time slot.

The project will run even better with another GM or two coming onboard to help, so reply to this thread or drop me a message if you are interested in hosting your own Saturday Dungeon table.

We are aiming to schedule the first Saturday Dungeon for Saturday the 12th of April. We will hopefully post on this thread a schedule of whose game is launching when - alternatively just check the site at the above time any Saturday from the 12th onwards and you should see a game!

TarasRex here. For the Saturday Dungeon, I'll be running a game in a Star Voyage genre, called "Starealis".

You will be playing as crewmembers of an independent starship that navigates through different star systems, engaging in everything from trading and diplomacy to piracy and battles.

There will be little to no overarching plot, and every session will be a one-shot with its own conclusion. If your character appears regularly, there might be sessions revolving around them and their backstories.

Hope to have some fun adventures in space with you all :D

Hi! We have now agreed a schedule for the first few games

On 12th of April I will be hosting 'Dimension Dungeon' a mega-dungeon crawler where you play as your favourite existing character from any kind of fiction / media!

On 19th of April, Tarasrex will be launching their Starealis campaign.

On 26th of April, Leeza will then be launching their own Saturday-dungeon game. Details of which she will hopefully share with us here soon!

We will probably then look to rotate these games, trying to keep them in that order, but will swap and change if needed based on our own availability. I will try and confirm dates for May / June and post them here again soon.
